I'm going to EWR in June for a leisure trip. I searched for the absolute cheapest rental car (4 wheels and an engine does it for me) and Dollar was the cheapest and it was for a convertible! Fine with me as I don't mind but my first question is 1, Space in trunk (2 adults on a 5 day trip) 2, Comfort, there will be a lot of driving so I want something comfortable, and 3, What kind of convertibles are usually available? I'm considering Lock Low and go because it is 60 bucks more and I can get more car for my buck and I might get something a bit more conservative (visiting relatives in 70's need to haul them around in a REAL car).
I know this sounds like a lot from a guy who wants a basic car but to know what I'm getting into as I usually go for a Focus, Taurus, 300c esque vehicle.
Thanks in advance,
oewdanny

Corporate locations' convertibles are usually Sebrings, PT Cruisers or Mustangs.

Lock Low 'n' Go could be another Jeep Compass...

(FWIW, I've done Lock Low 'n' Go and Wild Car multiple times and have never gotten anything bad or something I would never drive again or even something to complain about. But for cheaper than a midsize, I'm not too picky about the kind of car.)
