I rented from Dollar in Austin, Texas on 2 separate days, Friday Apr. 25, and Sun. April 27th. (one day rental each time)
However, when I brought my car back the 2nd time , I noticed the "daily extras" (???) came to around $7.00, as opposed to around $2.00 when I brought the first car back.
There was no description as to just what these "extras" were, but I wondered how come it was suddenly $5.00 more for my "extras"???
I marched right downstairs to the Dollar counter to inquire.
The guy figured out that it was a $4.99 charge for roadside assistance, which I did'nt even get asked if I wanted. (I already have AAA, so I would've declined it, if given the chance.)
He took off the charge, no problem.
However, everyone should pay close attention to their bills...
there are enough crazy fees and taxes on these rental cars as it is, right guys ?!?
