Recently, I've been trying to understand air travel and have given up; the entire concept baffles me.
I've been pondering air transportation the last few times Mike and I have flown together, including this weekend as we flew to Washington for yet another friend's wedding.
I'm not even talking about the science of aerodynamics, the "how" and the "why" a massive object weighing hundreds of thousands of pounds can get from point A to point B by gliding seamlessly through the air. For that, I just shrug and cross my fingers and trust that someone made it safe enough for us to get from Austin to Spokane in a day without having to test out the passenger assigned to man the emergency exit row's rescue skills.
