Other Car Rental Programs/Partners (ie. Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt) - Using Kiosk and Showing Id/Coupon

Has anyone had experience with using a kiosk at Alamo, and the kiosk asking for coupon or "show Id" at counter? When using Costco coupons in the past, many times I had to show the coupons at the desk....what happens at the kiosk?
