Hi Air NZ Forum,
I have the option of flying from HK or Tokyo with Air NZ in C Class to Auckland and was wondering which is the best aircraft? 747 from HK or 777 from Tokyo?
Also, any heads up on meal service, Champagne and wines lists would be great!
Any thoughts?
Cheers, AG.

Thx all!
Think I'll just jump on the 777 - I love those birds!
Cheers,
AG.

The 777 from NRT is less likely to be full in business class than the 747 from HKG (originates in LHR).

Personally I prefer the seats up in the nose on the 744 (especially row 1, even if travelling on my own) to anything on the 777... but the difference is fairly minor.

I still tend to prefer the nose section of the 747 - just seems less crowded and more relaxed than BP in the 777, but hey, the seat is exactly the same.

You may have already factored this in, but the ex-NRT flight goes to CHC a few days a week before ending up in AKL, which adds a few hours on to the journey.
You get just a bit more sleeping time on the ex-NRT flight (about 30 minutes when going NRT-AKL nonstop, and hour if you go NRT-CHC).
