Hilton HHonors - Hilton Upgrade

I'm a gold member and I've booked a recent stay at a Hilton in London with some reward points. I recently noticed on my reservation details that the room description has changed from "Double Guest Room" to "Double Executive Room".

Does this mean I've been upgraded ?

Along the same lines, I used the diamond desk to get an AXON at the Cavalieri since it wasn't available. The reservation shows king executive, but paid. Do I have a shot at that room?

Yes I believe you will have the King Executive, --which is great considering they do not confirm upgrades till you get there by practice. Being a Diamond Force the reservation showing paid is the amount DD paid for your room to force it.--That is my understading anyone else have differing experiences?

It may have worked for you till now, but it doesn't work that way for everyone. @:-)

There have been numerous threads on the mistaken awarding of points for reward stays. Bottom line is that you can NOT count on getting this any more. Works for you, but not for me or many others.

You should NEVER tell someone "Plus you will actually get the points for that amount" just because of a glitch that works for you but not necessarily others. :td:

Be aware that if you are given points for an award stay, now and again, Hilton goes in and audits and takes the points away. I got points for a Lyon Hilton award stay. 18 months ago, they vanished from my account with no notice to me what had gone or why.
