Any review of the Hilton Lyon?
Hilton HHonors - Hilton LyonView Full Version : Hilton Lyon edm90 Apr 21, 08, 10:45 am Any review of the Hilton Lyon? MIKESILV Apr 21, 08, 11:07 am Not sure how much might be relevant to you. But we stayed there a few years ago when the hotel was quite new and were upgraded to a nice room on the Executive floor with access to the lounge with quite decent offerings. Hotel is located in a nice area across from the River Salone?? and right next headquarters of Interpol (hope you are not on anybody's wanted list:D) but its quite aways from the city and even the nearest subway station (Lyon has one of the nicest in France) is quite a trek. There is a great little gardens/park at the rear of the hotel and a stop for the city buses. Enjoy Lyon, great city for food and two amazing cathedrals. mike pauleeepaul Apr 21, 08, 12:12 pm There is a thread on this property if you search. Good facilities and amentities but a little off the path. Interesting casino in the basement. Attached garaged parking (unusual for Lyon.) I wouldn't eat in the hotel restaurants given the other options. Very pleased. I was on quite a cheap rate (around 160/night during conference) and was upgraded to a junior suite, as was my Diamond colleague (x37). Lounge is very pleasant, and never crowded. Breakfast good for a lounge. Gym is very clean and pleasant, though not a huge number of machines. Only Gold, Diamond and Exec rooms get free gym access. There are 2 frequent trolleybus routes right outside, so getting around is no problem. |
