Which means that there is a 22 hr and 33 min. layover. I've heard rumors that KE puts you up for the night in Hyatt Incheon, is that correct? If so, what room type do you get put into? A Club King?

Wouldn't your travel time be significantly shorter, if after arriving ICN on Monday, you departed for LAX on KE 11 at 1930; or KE 15 at 1955; or KE 61 at 2045?

I do not know if under these circumstances, when KE can transport you to your final destination without a long layover, if they will pay for the room at the Hyatt. You might contact KE for their policy.

In the past when I had a layover in ICN on a Business class ticket greater than 10 hours, I was given a food voucher and a room voucher at the Hyatt. On other times when the layover was less than 10 hours, and I still wanted to get out of the airport, I went to the hotel and booked a day room and just paid the rate. The room is nice, quiet and clean. It is not a suite, but it is large and comfortable.

Enjoy your flight.

if therer are flights with better connection that allows paxs to avoid overnight-ing in the trainsit location airlines won't pay for the accommodation.

this is regardless of the fare issues (higher fare/$ for better connection) that might be making you too choose the long layover option.

If KE won't pay for your room I can give my recommendation of the Best Western Premier Kukdo. Its a few stops from Seoul Station on the subway or it has an airport bus stop right in front of the hotel. It runs about $100-150 a night if memory serves me right. It was one of the better priced hotels with a high star rating when I went and I was very pleasantly surprised.
