Stayed at this hotel last week, and it is the standard HGI fare. The hotel does not serve a dinner, so room service is provided by the Outback Steakhouse across the street. ^ Nice change to the same-old-same-old. However, the service here is terrible from the front desk staff. The air conditioning in my room was not working, and it was not fixed by the staff. I did not turn it on when I went to bed around 10, but it soon became stuffy in the room and very hot, and I tried to turn the thermostat on, but it did not work. I tried everything, but it just would not turn on. I called to the front desk and informed them, and all I got was a very uncaring "oh, allright." I have very rarely received such uncaring and poor service, but your hotel has given it to me. I was not offered a room to move from (although I knew that the hotel was sold out), nor was engineering called or even alerted. Poor service from this hotel to the max, and I actually sent an email to them fir the first time, but I really don't expect anything in return. :td:

Call back and talk to the Manager, get a refund for the room charges. If it ain't right, it ain't right.

I thought about it and thought about it, and finally called the DD desk and complained. They asked the hotel manager to call me, which of course, he didn't. However, Hilton did refund my room (which I have yet to get, but I assume is in the mail), and got a free night at a HGI anywhere in the US.

That certainly makes me feel better. Thanks to HH for making it right. ^
