Why is there no HH hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia?

There only seems to be one HH hotel in the whole of Indonesia, the Conrad Bali !

thanks

There used to be a Hilton in Jakarta, now it's called the Sultan Hotel.

The Hilton group had a very difficult time getting them to stop using the name. It was still called the Hilton for well over 18 months after they left the group.

There used to a Hilton in Surabaya as well. It's now the Patra Jasa.

The one in Bali was still using the Hilton name until a year or two ago eventhough it has not been managed by Hilton for quite some time

I heard there'd be a Hilton opening up in Bandung; it's under construction right now.

As everyone mentioned, there is no Hilton Honors hotel in Jakarta. If you are going to Jakarta and need somewhere to stay, I would recommend the Hotel Mulia. I get to Jakarta about 6 times a year. I am always disappointed there is no Hilton but the Mulia is one of the best hotels I stay at in Asia.

Isn't Conrad going to be open in Jakarta this year?

Haven't heard anything about a Conrad in Jakarta. Only 2 major hotel openings I know of are A St Regis and the Kempinski Hotel Indonesia but both of those are a long way off.
