I am currently HH Silver based in Australia and around 15,000 base pts from gold, 55,000 base pts from diamond.

Going to be travelling to the USA soon and will reach gold after my next 2 stays. I should also be diamond at the end of the trip.

Is there a way to get comped Gold?

thanks

I'm not sure it will help, but you may wish to look at the more recent posts on this thread:

There is a fast track to gold offer listed on Superdawg's excellent bonus offers site. Here's the Hilton page: http://www.frequentflyerbonuses.com/hhonors.html

But the offer appears to be expired, or at least the URL 404s.

Note: he updates this list periodically, not daily, so sometimes there are expired offers still there. He notes the dates, which is handy.

Another alternative is to get an HHonors American Express card, which makes you Silver just by having it. If you spend $20,000 on it in a year you get Gold.

Here appears to be the page to sign up for the gold challenge if you aren't a HHonors member already. If you are already it indicates you need to contact customer care. I plan to call tomorrow as I already have 3 stays booked for May and I'm sure I can find one more in 90 days.

Do you get an extension on your Gold Status if you are already Gold with this promotion?

The other way to get a Hilton Gold right off the bat is to have an American Express Centurion (Black) card.

But you gotta spend $250k within a year on an existing Amex card and pay a $7500 initial year fee to get the card in the first place. :)
