Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Question on holding Asiamiles award tickets

Is it possible to hold award tickets? I remember vaguely that you can hold tickets if you called into their phone line.

Or is this possible online? The award redemption page asks for your credit card immediately. Thanks.

From my limited experience with trying to get an award ticket, yes you can hold award tickets if by "hold" you mean just having a confirmed booking until it is ticketed.

I requested an award ticket online, and they replied by email with an itinerary, with a ticketing deadline. My credit card will only get charged if I get it ticketed before the deadline.
