Thrifty - Camry Hybrid in Calgary?

I just reserved a car with Thrifty in Calgary. I haven't rented from Thrifty in ages, so I'm not sure what to expect, but I was surprised to find a Camry Hybrid model available for rent, and without the usual hybrid premium.

Has anyone else found hybrids at Thrifty locations, especially Calgary?

I hope the reservation system didn't guarantee me a bogus car which won't be available when I get there.

I've never seen hybrid Toyotas at any corporate-owned Thrifty locations in the U.S. (it's possible some franchises carry them), but Canada's a different operation.

I wouldn't trust the website to guarantee you a specific car, although if they tout something as unique as a Camry hybrid, there's a better chance of that. If you have your hopes set on a specific car, it always pays to call the location directly and ask one of the people who will be handing you your keys exactly what you'll be getting.

Good advise - I called the location, and they stated the Hybrid car was a Camry Hybrid "or similar". So I asked "similar to what, another hybrid?". The answer was, you either get a hybrid or a standard size car, whatever is in stock. There are no other hybrid types available.

I was advised to call the location the night before, or the morning of arrival, and request they put one hybrid aside for me - although she claimed they had a lot of them available.
