Hilton HHonors - A word of warning on the DL MQM promotion

Registered for the DL MQM promotion, canceled and remade a reservation for Hampton. Made sure the reservation specified DL as the partner. All done on the HHonors web site. Asked at check-in, they said the FF number was there.

On check-out, the number had mysteriously changed to my AA number that's on file with HHonors. Hotel tried to change it back, but indicated I needed to call HHonors. Now the fight begins....

Check your reservations AND hotel bills, folks.

I have had this annoying problem before too. I now employ the time-wasting tactic of deleting any airline partners I do not wish to use before making the reservation. Thus the system can only default to the single airline partner that I want that particular stay to accrue to. Only until after checkout and AFTER points have correctly been credited do I re-add a second partner. And, BTW, I finally gave up trying to get CSR to fix the problem and credit me correctly. Hilton won and I gave up. As Gomer would say: "surpris' surpris' surpris'."
