Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - GF 320 J seats

Hi, the GF website says these are the old F seats. I'll be flying MAA-RUH on GF and the first leg out is on a GF 320, flight time something like 6:20 AM.
So I'd much rather find a plane I can sleep on (the other alternatives are EK/QR, both rather costlier, and various very shady airlines - Oman, Yemenia etc, that I'd prefer not to experiment with..)
How are those seats, for sleeping?

From memory, manual recline (few inches), good seat width, pitch isn't so great; you could snooze off for few minutes for sure, but for sleeping I would rather take EK.

That settles it, thanks.

That route is about as far as I'd go in an A320 in J. If you have status reserve row 1 window either side private and roomier than the next 3 rows. I have snoozed on the A320, however, sleep per se may be a little more difficult.
Enjoy CJ:)

Don't think the Sultan of Oman would agree that Oman Air is shady!
Yes they are running old bangers on the LGW/MCT run but many of their 737/800's are new and they have an impressive list of new aircraft on order.
The Gulf break up was at short notice and OmanAir has had to move quickly to replace the Muscat/Europe link and the shortage of suitable used aircraft is a problem Internationally.

Well...
last time I flew on GF A320 (last year) the load was very light so we took the generous duvets from biz class (along with the pillows) and made up two beds in economy (was pretty comfy as the duvets smoothed out any gaps/seat belt bumps in the economy seats).
We were the only pax in J and economy had about 40 pax in total.
If the flight was full the J seats would be fine. They are extra wide with pitch of 42 inchs and they are soft and plump. I could have managed a couple of hours sleep.
