Hi,
This might not be of interest, but right now sydney.com tourism has a buy one / get one free offer on main meals at quite a few city, eastern suburb and Manly eateries.

Several of these establishments already offer a similar deal for Citibank card holders, but in this case it's a Myer One offer.

Myer One is just a loyalty scheme by this retailer, free of course, and really only useful (to me) for its 3% cashback. Nice when price-matching electronics or whatever then getting 3% more back. :)

Anyway, if you are in Sydney, can spend 5 minutes at Myer getting this card and want to dine at Darling Harbour, the city or near the water, here are a few places worth a look.

11 bogof main meal offers w. myerone card (http://www.sydney.com/My_Sydney_Food_and_Wine_Offers_p2884.aspx):

Bistro Lilly
Observatory Tower 168 Kent Street, Sydney

Kingsleys Australian Steakhouse
29 King Street, Sydney

Parkside restaurant - The Menzies Sydney

Georges Mediterranean Bar and Grill

Jordons Seafood Restaurant

Victoria Room
Level 1, 235 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst

Fat Olive

Manly Wharf Hotel
Manly Wharf, East Esplanade, Manly
(bogof fish & chips - must be all of the British visitors!

I can add the other places for Citi cardholders (Aussies should try to Citi Gold card anyway for the 1:1 earn for Qantas miles and a few freebies like the Citi offers).

Hope you are having a good weekend.

The BOGOF promotion was also on a year ago and was great. BTW if you pick the right promotion you can get an Amex card for free which gives you 1.5 QFF points per AU$ spend. But who knows when one of those promotions is coming up again.

The 'free for life' Citi card thread is still going on AFF (http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/community/citibank-rewards-program/citibank-gold-no-annual-fee-7874-new-post.html).
I read elsewhere that both silver and gold cards are available on a 'free for life' link on the Citi site.

More importantly for FTers seeking QFF miles, hopefully someone can spot the next time Amex offers a 'first year fee waiver' on the Ultimate card (at the airports I suppose, maybe next to the QP).

The waiver for Amex Ultimate has happened for at least one clever FTer at the airport!
