Other Car Rental Programs (ie. Alamo, Enterprise) - Extremely low price from Advantage in Orlando

Hi All,

My wife and I are going to Orlando for a vacation in May. I have no loyalty from one car rental firm to another and will normally shop price.

I used Orbitz to see the prices during our trip May 19-23. Advantage came up with a price that is so much lower than everyone else that I wondered about it.

I can get a full size car (Chevy Malibu) for $89. The next lowest price is EZ Rent a Car for $174, and then Dollar and Alamo at $220-230.

I've never seen one company have a price that much lower than anyone else. They are off airport, but so is Hertz and they want $290.

Am I missing something here? Is there a reason to not go with Advantage and its low rate?

Thanks,
Bob

I had a bad experience with Advantage but it was in Denver and SEVERAL years ago. I was hooked by their super low price but swore to never rent from them again after that.

They lost my reservation, they "downgraded" me into something I didn't want and it ended up taking over an hour to get a car that I didn't even want.

Keep in mind that this was probably an isolated incident and it happened several years ago.
