Thanks! SJLee77 Apr 12, 08, 10:30 am jpdx, They are identical to the cradle seats you can find on their A330's and other old configurations. I unfortunately haven't flown on it myself, but the pitch and recline seems to be bit smaller, considering the size of the aircraft. Also for the entertainment, there's no installed personal entertainment system and you're likely to either get DVD player or just a overhead screen movies. Music is channeled. Hope that helped. :) dvs7310 Apr 12, 08, 12:03 pm There are 3 varieties of the -800. Two have two rows and one has 3 rows. The B config has the best pitch, similar to the A332. The A and P config are more like domestic first (40" & 42" pitch). I haven't figured out yet how to determine which configuration is deployed on what routes. There must be some type of advance planning becuase they all have different numbers of Y seats. jpdx Apr 12, 08, 10:15 pm Thanks for the advice! So a 738 is not much worse than the A-330 or the T-7s with the old seats, but the pitch is quite a bit lower. I guess in cases where OZ or others fly a larger plane for the same route, I will be taking them instead of KE. dvs7310 Apr 13, 08, 12:27 pm Unfortunately I don't think you're going to find it much better on other carriers. In general intra-Asian C class isn't that great, but its much better than intra-Europe C class. It seems that 40-50" seat pitches are the norm for Regional C in Asia. Asiana uses an A320 on the ICN-REP route which is no better than KE's 738. On the SGN route Asiana does have a better C on the A333 than KE does. That one is the exception in this region. Flights to HAN & PNH for instance have similar seats on KE and OZ both. VN also has similar seat pitch on these routes. |
