Does anyone have suggestions for a family of 3 (teenage daughter) we are supposed to be on a A380 from Sydney to Singapore and a 77W from Singapore to CDG. (THis is my first post- apologies if I don't have the protocol right)

Definently try to go Top Deck, though top deck seating is 2-4-2, main deck is 3-4-3. Top deck is much quieter and more exclusive (or I like to think). Meals are served very quickly etc so its awesome.

Agree.. even with three go for the upper deck... try for a pair plus the one across the aisle?? If you don't care about windows I'd ask for three in the 80DEFG row..... It is "exit row" but without proximity to the doors....

Much nicer upstairs IMO...

I concur with the upper deck of the A380 in EY, they are the cabin to be in.

The only drawback I found is the cabin baggage space is rather limited. If you seat at the window (except for 71AK and 81AK Emext Seats) you do have a cubby hole which is handy.

80DEFG are recommended seats but no cabin baggage space above the seats if I am not wrong.

Hi Teamspeedy,

I have not sat on 80DEFG before so I am not sure and I don't usually use my laptop on board as personally for me I would prefer to have more legroom over laptop power supply if I can't have both ;)

I found 74AK did not have cubby hole storage. Lucky I was in row 75.

G-day Kmpuffin,
Welcome to flyertalk :p:^ I cannot help you with your 77W info but I was on the A380 SIN to SYD last November, on the upper deck. I always choose an isle seat if possible and I agree with others that two isles and one window would be my choice here. I did not find the overhead lockers a problem and the window seats have the side lockers as well. Take a look at my photo link below.
Next time I go to SIN I will choose the bottom deck just to see. ( isle of course )
Have fun on your travels. Ray
