Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - First Class pricing...Sliding Scale?

Has anyone noticed that F/C tickets have changed in pricing from one day to another? Example... I thought if a F/C ticket was say... $650 that all f/c tickets on that leg were sold at that?

One a trip I was pricing to LIH:

SEA to LIH F/C $699
Lih to SEA F/C $1119!!! If I choose different dates it's back in the high $600's

Did I miss a change in something? Is this part of a new improved AS?

Just curious.

That sounds like a pricing error. On other airlines, there is generally a discounted and full-fare F seat. On AS, there isn't. AS does have published fares at "full F" (as opposed to the FAS fare, which is what the F seats are sold at.)

The only other changes that I am aware of happening, is during certain "peak" days. AS changes the fare rules depending on the day of travel (Weekends higher for leisure destinations typically) and notoriously high travel periods, like Thanksgiving and Christmas. But that is quite the disparity.

AS has a peak/off peak first class fare:

Off-Season (the cheaper fares)
4/14/08-6/6/08
8/16/08-12/12/08
1/10/09-3/13/09
4/20/09-6/4/09
8/22/09-12/11/09

All subject to change!
