Starwood Preferred Guest - Sheraton San Juan: are suites worth $100 extra?

Can anyone tell me about the suites at the Sheraton Old San Juan? They are only $100 per night more than a regular room and comparably priced to a standard room at a more upscale hotel.

I'm looking for a room with a nice balcony (which we can actually sit on, not just the 6 inch type "balcony" that they seem to offer) with a nice view.
