I have no personal experience, but friends of mine have used the service with no problems at all.

I used it when leaving two suitcases for a week last December. It was quick and easy to use and I had no problems with "safety" etc. Of course I'm just one example and there are rumours about safety of luggage generally in JNB.....

As a jaded local I've used it without problems. It isn't Fort Knox; quite low-key security-wise, truth be told. (Oh dear, I hope the gangsters don't read FT!) But it was efficient and good value IMO.
