I am a Gold AS, and have been given a new project by my boss. I am flying at least every two weeks PDX - DTW and think that NWA will be the better schedule.

I used my Gold AS #, and NWA recognized it. My question is what experience FT has of upgrades on NWA as an AS Gold?

My read is that I am equal to a SE level on NWA? ANy comments?

Thanks

Its painfully difficult for NW elites to get upgrades on NW on a lot of west coast routes, which makes it more painful for us.

I flew MSP-SEA on Monday morning and of the 68 people that were on the waitlist, 30 were NW plats. Only 1 of them cleared the waitlist.

How painful was NW Y?

Oddly, as I fly SEA-MSP-SAT pretty regularly now on NW, I was upgraded on 3 of 4 segments last month on a single RT (the SEA-MSP and MSP-SEA were battlefield upgrades). But in all cases it was with the new system where MVPGs are recognized as the equivalent of NW WorldPerks Silver Elites in their automatic upgrade systems. So it does happen.
