Lesley Britton sent an e-mail to GF FFP members, promising some new features when it is launched:
Your new Frequent flyer website will soon launch.
And it’s all been designed around what you’ve told us you want.
The result is a much more user-friendly experience that enables you to manage all aspects of your account online. For example, the new mileage calculator displays how many miles you can earn and redeem for any flight. Likewise, you can view all your future travel plans with Gulf Air, add and change family members and claim missing miles at any time.
What do FT GF FFP members really want from the website (AA redemptions, please! ;)) ?

I wish GF would get on with it and remove routes it no longer flies from the website.
What a tease. My bet is that the focus on the BAH F1 will increase.
The website needs to go up soon for the benefit of the F1 circus fans.
The embattled F1 boss must be glad to be away from the UK tabloids. ;)

I don't remember being asked what i wanted:confused:
How about the 'Update' to appear on the website on the 1st day of each quarter so i don't need to keep going back and checking it is there^

See for yourself now, 2.5 weeks after the 'coming soon' announcement.
Doesn't look very different to the old one.

Received an e-mail this morning saying that it was now up (https://www.gulfair.com/eFFP/forms/login.aspx). Main changes seem to be that balance is in miles, not units.
More work needed on it yet, I think. Redemption calculator doesn't seem to be working & I wasn't able to successfully update my details.

Site very slow-loads of traffic but mileage calculator working .
When I tried to add a family member it crashed so I have emailed the details.
Be aware that 2 of the five levels of economy fares are not allowable for upgrade to business using miles. The Gulf booking site also does not stipulate the actual level under fare rules and I am told you have to contact them to find out before booking-not satisfactory and a big mistake if you book and then are barred from using your FF miles for upgrade.
Incidentally - checking business LHR/BAH/MCT return in November on the Gulf site produced a higher price of over £380($700+) per ticket than Airline-Network! :td:
