Air New Zealand Air Points - Chc - Akl

I'm flying on a 737-300 CHC-AKL. Was just wondering what the flight was like? Tks

* Seat and pitch: Could be better at times seat pitch feels very tight
* Free tea and coffe plus differnt snacks at differnt times of the day.

Generally not bookable online unless in conjunction with an international booking, as this flight is classed as an international flight. Maybe enquire with reservations?? But given the length of the flight, 737 not too much of an issue, although having the AVOD on the 777 is nice.

I booked mine through Zuji as its not usally avalible on Airnz.co.nz

Same Price, just leaves from the Intl Terminal. Leaves at 9:30 arrives at 11:00or somthing like that. Great Flight with Snacks, Drinks and AVOD.

I had booked it, but when I found out I couldn't upgrade changed the reservation to the 737. The 737 was very cramped but okay for the short flight.

Does the 777 also arrive at the international terminal?

The 2 international tag flights CHC-AKL are bookable as domestic only, although not always through NZ website (most of the time those options are blocked).

The 2 international shuttle flights CHC-AKL and AKL-CHC, however, are not bookable other than as an immediate connection to/from an international flight. And I've only seen these as options when booking directly with Air NZ - the flights appear to be blocked to other sites.

I am looking to buy AKL - CHC return. IN airnz.co.nz it costs $79NZ each way ...... Do Airnz regularly have sale fares, apart from GrabASeat?

NZ has a range of promotional fares during the year.

Actually $79 is about as good as it gets for that route. A sale might save $10 (or a bit more on grab-a-seat). But if you're happy with the flight then I'd take that fare. Bird in the hand.

Just had a look at Grab A Seat today for AKL-CHC it is $67 ..... Only $12 saving only. So I will just get the normal fare, since my flight time is at Xmas and New Year.

One more question, for Smart Domestic saver, what fare class is it? Since I cannot earn points in AirPoints, want to credit it somewhere else ......

I cant rember what class it comes out of but of the top of my head im think its could be P and K. Also smart savers are not creditable to any airline program.

Smart savers are LGSK (and rarely P also). Grab-a-seat is P. Most economy heavily discounted international sales are in K (or P ex-CHC). None earn any miles on any program (except longhaul smart savers earn on NZ airpoints ONLY).
