I am getting one next week to try out. Anyone have one? How is the battery life? I will be using it with Goodlink, which I know can be a battery drain. How does it compare to the Treo 750?
To be clear, I am interested in experience with the ATT Global Q9h; I had a Verizon Q when it first came out and I was disappointed with the battery life.

I would expect the battery life to be similarly bad, especially with Goodlink installed, as that drives more radio traffic. Not first-hand experience, but no reason to think that it is significantly better in this rev of the product.
It will be significantly smaller/lighter than the Treo, but also no touch screen.

Now that Good for Symbian has been "archived" (ie no more updates), I've been asked to migrate to the Q9h - however so far our tech guys have tried 5 so far with various other people in the organisation. They've all needed to be returned for some sort of service - from not working to smaller issues.
The feedback (from the ones that now work) is that is sub-par to the Treo 750s, battery life having been noted.
They're actually finding good results with the Samsung Blackjack.
My Nokia E61, of course, just powers on. :)

The battery life is awesome! I have the Q, treo 750, and samsung Blackjack. The battery life is similar to the samsung. It comes with both standard and extended batteries. The extended lasts about 2- 3 times more than the standard. You can't even compare the battery on the Treo 750. The treo does not even last a day. The standard battery on the Q9H will go up to 2 days with extensive use.

The battery life is terrible, sorry to contradict what was said above but I came from a blackberry curve which has the best battery life on the market. The Q is a great phone (as far as windows mobile goes) but the standard battery doesn't make it until 7o'clock for me, the extended battery is great but it makes the phone alot more bulky and just ugly. I'm using Microsoft direct push which eats the battery similarly to goodlink so the comparison should be accurate, I've had it about a month now, besides that it's great.

My first smartphone so can't compare to others.
Battery... I used the extended version as I put a premium on battery length and so this was automatic. I had done the same thing on my old Nokia phone. As for what it does to size and appearance, try them both and decide for yourself. Without using GPS and with minimal Yahoo2Go, battery lasts at least 2 days for me. That's mostly reading inbound email. Me, I was happy to see both versions in the package. I can carry this in a shirt or pants pocket without a problem.
GPS... used that on a recent road trip througth the Central Valley in California. Slow to lock after arrival from Michigan, but fine after that. Was using Google Maps. Left on for pretty much the whole day, that did drain the battery faster but did not deplete it. No phone calls that day.
Keyboard... much easier to use than my wife's Treo. Reviews of that were one reason I bought this phone ($99 at Amazon) and they were right.
Miscue... one night in California the phone just turned itself off and I missed the alarm that morning. Took out and put back the battery and all has been fine since then. (The alarm may drive you nuts but it will wake you up!)
Opera... works fine for web browsing. And the screen size and clarity is easy to read even for my tired eyes that require reading glasses.
That's it for now... the "smartie phone" as friend calls hers is still smarther than I am. That's not a Motorola thing... just a smartphone thing.

Funny, the battery life was my biggest fear, since I use Goodlink and am also a
"power user" and "power talker" but I have been pleased. The extended battery has given me an average of 8-12 hours until I lose the first bar! This is ideal for me!

I downloaded a trial of SMS-Chat because I missed the threaded SMS view that I got used to and loved on my Treo 750. Well, this software looks great, but doesn't work without a touch screen! Doh!
Anyway, I uninstalled it and it left folders in my SMS Folders and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get rid of them. I Googled the topic to death and couldn't find the right answer. And yes, I emailed tech support at the developer but haven't heard back in over a week....:(
