Trip Reports - Photo Tour - PEK Terminal 3

Just about to jump on JL 782 PEK-NRT but snapped some photos of the new PEK Terminal 3. Sorry no captions and less detail than I would have liked -- BGS Lounge Matron informed me that "you may not take photos here" after I took one or two. Ah well.....

Travel note: allow extra time for T3 compared to T1/2! The long walks and train ride to get to my E gate added about 10 minutes at least, and for me the customs wait was definitely longer than at the old terminal.

The lounge food is pretty much the same, FWIW, but the surroundings are a definite improvement!

I believe you mean T2? T1 is domestic reserved for China Southern. I had the chance to have a quick look at the exterior of the building while passing by the airport. It does look nice indeed! However, expats (like me) who don't know Chinese will have problems finding T3 as you must exit early and the only sign informing you the way to T3 is in Chinese. There is a small, barely noticeable sign but by the time you passed it it would be too late. Oh yeah, I forgot to say, I'm taking about the Airport Expressway.:rolleyes:

I was just there at PEK T3 5 hours ago taking a domestic flight. When I have time I'll upload photo's to compliment Carl's :)
