Travel Technology - Trouble pairing bluetooth with Motorola K1

I bought a Motorola K1 phone (Krazr) in St Thomas this last week while on a cruise. I think I got a good deal on it?? In any case I bought the Samsung WEP200 bluetooth at the same store and was told it was compatible.
I followed instructions in the guide for both phone and bluetooth device and cannot get it to recognize device. If I clink on Audio Devices which automatically scans- it comes up no device found after 30 secs or so. If I use the other option which says "Find me" I get a message which says "discoverable 3 minutes"- not sure what this means , but even if I wait 3 min. nothing happens. Any suggestions as to how I can get it to work, or is this samsung simply not compatible with motorola. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Find me won't work; the headset can't scan for devices, it's the phone that has to initiate the connection and find Bluetooth devices.

I'm assuming you put the headset in discoverable mode? (When it's off press the round button for >10 seconds and it should flash blue/red. Then have the KRZR search for a Bluetooth device.

I know it works, because I've had the same combination before BUT the WEP200 is one of the most counterfeited headsets out there at the moment, and there is always the chance that you got a fake.
