Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - Etihad Lounge Access

Hi,

travelling in a group of 4 AUH-LHR with Etihad - 2 in FC, 2 in Y. Is there guest access to the FC lounge at AUH airport? ie..are the 2 in FC able to "guest in" the 2 Y pax. Also, can all 4 check-in at the FC counter (same family name but different PNR).

As the Etihad website only describes the lounges, perhaps you could contact the airline to check if there is a way to invite guests. I'm unaware of this but perhaps someone else has managed it.

Re. the AUH lounge, the website has lots of info, albeit not the info you seek.
If the aim is to keep the F lounge 'exclusive', that would exclude your guests unless you manage to get a staffer to agree it is in your interest (and the agent's).

Re. Etihad F pax and 'Guests', did you have a look at the website's FAQ (http://www.etihadairways.com/etihadairways/global/en/aboutetihad/customercare/faq)?

Here are the Etihad office contacts page (http://www.etihadairways.com/etihadairways/global/en/aboutetihad/OurOffices/)as there is no clear info on the website.

The Lounges page (http://www.etihadairways.com/etihadairways/global/en/experienceetihad/attheairport/OurLounges.htm)does not mention elibigility other than having a J or F ticket.

Nothing there either.

I'd e-mail AUH office to check, or phone the local office.

Can Etihad can be as considerate as Gulf Air? Please let us know the answer!

The flight is in a week, so will let you know the outcome. Tried to upgrade the 2 others to business by but had no luck with the flight supposedly very full.

Seatmap shows Y- no seats, C - 10 available, F - 11 available.

They said to try a few days before or even at the airport. (forgot to ask them about lounge access :( )

I don't know if it will help, but are the Y pax family members? This may help, though I'm only speculating;

If you were to go in as a group and show your to F tickets (and if you set everyone up with Etihad Guest memberships and cards, linked to your 'family' account), then you might be allowed access as a 'family', rather than the dragons split up your family?
