Thrifty - Lousy rentals

Last night I got into Sarasota Airport at about 9 in the evening and I walked over to the Thrifty counter to pick up my wild car rental. First the man said that you've gotten the mystery vehichle and ran off for five minutes. Then he says our car is a Jeep Compass. I've never even heard of this car and since it was so late I said okay whatever. I walk to the lot and find this ugly contraption in my spot and I examine it for scratches and dents as usual. There weren't any. I go inside the vehichle and find out that this REALLY is the base model. NO POWER WINDOWS OR LOCKS :confused: and the materials are cheap and it's quite small. In my opinoin it's smaller than a midsize. Am I eligeble to go back to the airport and exchange it as I will be stuck with this for 10 days.

I think you're stuck as they actually rent it out as a small SUV. So this is an "upgrade" from your midsize reservation.
