Anyone used the Amex Platinum Concierge Online much? When I am at work it would be better for me to use the online concierge instead of calling where someone else might overhear my requests. Not only that, but I'm not good with people on the phone (I have a bit of anxiety).

Good things? Bad things? I'd love to hear people's opinions on this.

I've used it a few times, and have nothing but good things to say. Obviously the more details you can provide the better, but I find the online system to work great. I personally enjoy calling Concierge, especially for reservations or things that are time sensitive, but do use the online system, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

They also have an email ID, which works great for me when travelling ;)

In your experiences with the online concierge, how quickly have you heard back from them?

I just did a bunch of online requests. For mine it took 12-24 hours.

I did some large requests (10 dinner reservations, information about local attractions, and other smaller stuff) and within 12-24 hours I got a Word doc attached to the e-mail loaded with tons of useful information, as well as confirmation numbers and contact names for my reservations, and other in-depth info. It would have taken me at least an hour or two to do it myself, and even then I might not haven gotten some of the info they gathered for me.

I've been impressed with the online concierge so far in my short experience.

I've used the E-mail service for Plat Concierge quite a few times, and use it for all but the most urgent requests (sometimes it takes up to 12 hrs to get a reply back). I'm happy with it.

Would you mind sharing the e-mail address to be used, as this would be most convenient from my perspective when travelling? If you do not want to publish publically, please send me a PM. Thanks.

Just use the online concierge once online and then they'll email you. You can reply to that email address. If you haven't set that up, and you just randomly email then they won't know who you are and won't help you.

I'll second what others have said--I always use the online request form unless it's something I really need RIGHT NOW. Sometimes it takes a back-and-forth once or twice to make sure the details of the request are truly understood, but they tend to be pretty responsive.
