Asiana Club - Asiana Club Diamond Elite Member Benefits - Bonus air ticket?

From the Asiana Club website, one of the benefits for Asiana Club Diamond member (*G) catches my eye:

"Bonus air ticket and upgrades to a next higher class seat (Provided to third parties)"

Would appreciate from existing Diamond members to assist in elaborating in details what exactly is this benefit. The question that I have is:

1. Is it a choice of only either a free bonus ticket or a free upgrade on OZ?

2. Are there any conditions I need to adhere to before I can get the bonus air ticket, e.g. a need to purchase a revenue ticket?

3. Do I get this benefit only once every 3 years?

4. Is this benefit only redeemed for "third parties", i.e. for other people (my significant half, family members, etc) but never be able to redeem for myself?

Don't get too excited. I think (and I would love to be wrong) that this only means that you can request upgrades and award seats for people other than yourself using your miles.

This is the correct interpretation.

Just to add, this is a benefit only because lower tier (Silver and Gold) members are unable to redeem rewards for persons outside of "close family".

I think the OP may have confused this with what TG used to give for their ROP Gold members on their birthday month...

Bonus air ticket just means award ticket. ;) Nothing specia about it. You cannot upgrade an award ticket.
