American Express Membership Rewards - Number of Centurion cards outside of the US

The number of Centurion cards issued outside of the US should be close to the number of Centurion magazine copies that will be sent quarterly in 2008 :

- UK 18,500
- Germany 10,500
- Switzerland 2,800
- France 1,500
- IDC/IEC cards 5,200
- Italy, Spain, Sweden, NL 4,500
- Israel 800
- Saudi Arabia 1,000
- Middle East (others) 500
- Hong-Kong 13,500
- Singapore 1,300
- Australia 6,000

my older numbers total ~7600 higher :confused:

I did notice the other day at HKG airport, there were lounges showing a chart of AmEx cards that could be used to gain access. They had to be HK-issued, but there was a Peninsula branded Centurion Card. Not heard of that before.

There is information here for partner banks which issue American Express co-branded International Dollar/Euro cards, and in particular information about the "new" Centurion version launched September 2007...

there is information on the peninsula card on m site, and i believe the hong kong amex site as well. not sure about others, but the peninsula card is not new.
