Hi all, I'm new here.

Guys my dad is flying Lufthansa from Venezuela to Lebanon, stopping in Frankfurt. I'm pretty sure he is flying economy. Since he is spending about 12 hours there, i suggested maybe he could buy a one day pass to a lounge (if that exists). on the airport site, i can only find one public lounge FAC1. but Lufthansa has plenty of lounges across the airport. what can he do, to get in, if he can. is there a daily pass he can buy, or a ticket he can get ahead of time from the travel agent. any suggestions or ideas?

thank you ahead of time.

Welcome to FT!

Unfortunately, Lufthansa's lounges are not paid-membership lounges, thus one-day passes are not sold for these lounges. Depending on whether or not he requires a visa to exit the transit area, American Airlines has an Admirals Club in departure hall C outside of security, and AA sells day passes for their lounge. If he is in departure area B, United has a Red Carpet Club in that area, which may sell day passes. Hope this helps!

I would not bother with the Lounges if he has 12 hours layover.. The American Airlines Lounge is really dismal.. I would not want to sit in that lounge for more than 1 hour!

I would recommend that he goes into the city Frankfurt and explore or check into a day room at the FRA Sheraton.

I would definitely invest in a visa (if he doesn't get automatic entry based on the passport he holds) and spend the 12h in a day room in the hotels opposite the airport. If he feels fresh, a trip to downtown in the afternoon should be no problem.
