American Express Membership Rewards - AMEX "Foundation Members"

Hey guys,
Amex just re-issued my Plat CC card (Australian based) and now notice i have "Foundation Member" printed on the card above the number...

Any ideas what this pertains too?

Any benefits for CRM or is it simply a "warm and fuzzy" bit of marketing??

How long have you had the card?

Sounds similar to "Charter Member" that we get in the UK for those who were on the first batch of the issue of the card.

Have had the card for a year and a half....

did the ranks up.. green (1 year, gold 1 year then plat 1.5 years)

any others out there have anything similar? happy to post a pic if it helps with the palcement.

'Tis nice.. the whole card is quite nice, it has a whole of card reflective coating which gives it a metallic shiny sheen to it under light.

(not on the home laptop so cant edit out the number so just took a small part of the card)

The picture shows a platinum credit card (like the US optima platinum, but with an annual fee), which is very different from the Platinum charge card (and does not have the same benefits as the Platinum charge card).

The "Foundation member" printed should not bring any extra benefit.
