InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - IC Le Grand Paris - Upgrade when combining BOGOF voucher and points stay?

Hi,

Just thought I'd ask if anyone had a similar experience to one that I'm thinking of:

I'm after a three night stay over a Sat, Sun and Mon at Le Grand and I have an Ambassador free night voucher to use and enough points for a reward night. I'm thinking of booking the Sat as a paid Club Room, using the BOGOF for the Sunday and points for the Monday.

I'm hoping that my Ambassador upgrade would get me a Junior Suite for the Sat and Sun and that generosity from the hotel would allow me to keep the same room for the reward night.

Has anyone made a similar booking? If so what was your experience?

Cheers

Shouldn't be a problem with the room, but you may be asked to pay for Club on the third day. (This is my general view, not based on trying this at LeG).

Thanks Raffles,

I'll probably give it a try. I know you've stayed at LeG a few times - do you know if a club room allows you to have breakfast at Cafe de la Paix?

Cheers

I doubt it, but have never tried - since I don't pay for Club (its part of the RA upgrade here) I'm happy to accept the Club breakfast for free!

When breakfast is included due to Club access - but hasn't been purchased seperately, if you want to try the "main" breakfast it is alway worth asking whether this is permissable as many IC's allow those entitled to have "club" breakfast to use the alternative. IC Vienna for example where all my stays are either points or BOGOF's when upgraded to club floor they always permit breakfast to be taken in the main cafe where it's pretty wonderful.

I must add to head-off the predictable - this IS NOT an entitlement but merely superb service.

The breakfast in Cafe de La Paix is not included in Club Rate - at least
so far my experience. I usually had breakfast in the Club but wanted to
have the CDP one since it is wider choice and I like the Cafe but I was
billed for this breakfast ..

Since search isn't working and I didn't get a response in another thread, I figured I would bump this one and see if anyone has any recent experiences-- does the Le Grand still honor RA benefits on award stays? It seems like in the past they've upgraded to a junior suite, given club access, and provided free minibars for RA's on awards, but I don't see anything recent.

Thanks:)

Well I had a mix of pay/reward stay in May and was able to keep my
upgraded suite, club access and minibar was free as well. ^

The club lounge is really great, I wonder that it's never too crowded
if they give free access to RAs .. :-:
