Some airlines have a business perks program (e.g. UA PerksPlus) that allows the business to get some sort of reward for employee travel, but there's no way for the business to get actual miles in the same way as employees. You should specify which airline you're interested in, and that will determine which program you should investigate... To amplify it, once you've narrowed things down to one or a few airlines, you'll probably find existing discussion of their business programs in its or their specific forum(s). If you search the American Airlines forum for "Business ExtrAA," for example (note the double "A" at the end; computers can be so picky that way) you will find a wealth of information. BLI-Flyer Mar 19, 08, 8:23 am Similar to the AA Business ExtrAA program, Alaska has an EasyBiz program (http://www.alaskaair.com/as/EasyBiz/EasyBizInfo.asp) where you book employee tickets on a special web site and the company earns 2 miles/dollar spent. The employees earns regular FF miles for the trip. mooper Mar 19, 08, 4:26 pm AA, NW, DL, and UA all have business programs that will accrue benefits (points, miles, or similar) that are earned in *addition to* the regular miles earned when an employee flies. The rate of earning is slower than that for the individual accounts, but since there is no cost to joining, its worth doing. I flew a bunch of people on NW (aigh! how painful :o ) last year and it earned the company a few upgrades to be used on trips this year. cepheid Mar 19, 08, 5:11 pm BA also has something, though I forget the specifics. |
