American Express Membership Rewards - FHR rates + SPG one free night promos

Hi all,

The answer is probably no, but I figured I'd check and see if anyone has any suggestions. I'm going to Hawaii in early April and Starwood is offering 4 nights+1 night free promos at most hotels. Is it possible to get that promo with the FHR rates? If not, then the FHR rates end up being quite a bit more expensive for this trip ...

I would also appreciate an answer in this regard. Starwood Luxury Properties are currently doing a promotion where if you book 3 nights, the fourth is free. it would be great to benefit from both promotions. Thanks

to me, the point of FHR is you can sometimes get better upgrades than with SPG gold/plat.

you have to book FHR rates to get FHR benefits.

you might try combining with virtuoso (if its a member property) since DavidO has reported successfully getting benefits on discounted rates when they were lower than virtuoso rate.
