MilesBuzz! - can you pay off a HELOC with credit card?

Trying to find a way to pay off a $35K HELOC with my my platinum, mileage plus Visa. The bank won't accept a credit card and you don't get points for money orders/cashiers checks.

Anyone done this before or have ideas? This is a free ticket to the Caribbean we're talkin here!

Idea: could you get some of those "balance transfer checks" they usually send out with a new credit card and pay it with that?
