Thanks! justakiwi Mar 17, 08, 9:13 pm Absolutely (prior to departing on an Air NZ domestic flight, of course.) justakiwi restlessinRNO Mar 17, 08, 9:19 pm Absolutely (prior to departing on an Air NZ domestic flight, of course.) And they are well worth a visit! Even with deep discount (non-mileage earning) domestic tickets, you can visit the lounge. :) Kiwi Flyer Mar 17, 08, 9:20 pm Yes as long as departing on Air NZ same day (same rule applies worldwide except in USA). jmmlaguna Mar 17, 08, 9:38 pm Will be flying ANZ from Auckland to Invercargill (via Christchurch) - we will check out both lounges!!!! MaryHillyer Mar 24, 08, 8:31 pm And Invergargill has a Koru lounge too -- not elegant, but nicer than main waiting area. Happily accepted my UA*G card on more than one occasion. No problem at ChCh or Wellie. However, you can't get to Koru lounge at AKL domestic if your outbound is regional (eg TRG). kiwibigdave Mar 24, 08, 8:49 pm However, you can't get to Koru lounge at AKL domestic if your outbound is regional (eg TRG).Unless this a very recent change due to the terminal makeover you can get to the AKL KC irrespective of your domestic destination. You just have to clear a level of security that you wouldn't otherwise have to, and give yourself time for the long (relatively speaking) walk back through security to the regional gates. ajnz Mar 24, 08, 9:12 pm Unless this a very recent change due to the terminal makeover you can get to the AKL KC irrespective of your domestic destination. No - no problem with regional flights gaining access to the AKL Koru Club. Security don't care where (or if) you're flying. I've occasionally gone into the lounge when not traveling... No problem using the lounge. The only thing to be aware of is often by the time the prop flight is called in the lounge you have to really rush immediately if you don't want a "Will Mr Kiwi Flyer please proceed immediately to gate 4x as your flight is waiting to depart." type call over the PA. Even rushing this call often occurs when I am just entering the prop gate lounge area. Kiwi Flyer Mar 24, 08, 10:44 pm No - no problem with regional flights gaining access to the AKL Koru Club. As have I sometimes (eg when arriving from an international flight to grab a quick shower before off to meeting). CHC Kiwi Mar 25, 08, 12:00 am As have I sometimes (eg when arriving from an international flight to grab a quick shower before off to meeting). My local lounge people have been known to ask whether I'm popping in for a drink before heading out. ^ crigs Mar 26, 08, 1:56 am Passing through WLG Koru club tonight and noticed they have put up a floor plan for the refurbishment. Was running late so didn't stop to have a good look. taupo Mar 27, 08, 10:24 pm Can Star Gold members use the Domestic Lounges in Auckland and Christchurch? Thanks! You are going to run into one major problem. You will be forever spoiled by the Koru Club Lounges and will be forever disappointed by RCCs. |
