I currently have a set of Phillips noise cancelling headsets and was planing on upgrading to a set of Bose QC2's. Has anyone ever bought a set at the booths in the airport? Do they give any extra goodies? In other words should I just order them from Bose,go to the local Bose store or wait until my next trip and pick them up at the airport. Thanks

I bought mine at a booth on the C concourse at DEN. There weren't any freebies with it, though the airport ones are sold with pre-charged batteries.

The only advantage to buying them where I did was a sales tax savings of about $9.

I don't know if they still offer it, but I "bought" my QC2s using DC points. The points value was not great at around 1 cent per DC point, but it was much better than spending $300 cash.

I just checked the catalog, they still have the QC2s there at 39k points + 500 points or $7 handling fee. That's even less than 1 cent per point value. I think I paid 30k points.

It doesn't really matter where you buy these assuming a reputable retailer/etailer. They are pretty much always the same price and BOSE CS is pretty good. The only difference is that sometimes they will throw in something else. I think mine came with a portable CD player.

Or if you can get a group of you to buy them then any subsequent sets bought at the same time off get a 10% discount.

Don't know if you are an AA frequent flier, but if you go through AA's bonus miles shopping site you can get up to 3 AA miles per $1 spent (in addition to miles on your credit card).
