I am a regular traveller on NZ1 /NZ2 but I have to say that last night I had the worst experience ever. The service was so slow that the dinner service took almost 3 hours which on a 9.5hr overnight flight is not good. The actual service at dinner was totally absent, a good 30 minutes between starter and main course, water glass not refilled at all during dinner, constantly having to ask for a top up of my fizzy drink and most of the time I asked I was then forgotten about, and bread basket absent. I have to say not impressed. Then after taking 3 hours to get lights out the breakfast was served 2.5 hours before arrival leaving only 4hrs for sleep.

I have to say the standards on this particular flight were very low and has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Although I have to say 3 crew to serve 34 passengers is not good and probably causes some of the issues.....

sorry to hear you had unsatisfactory experience this time - if a regular on that flight, was this a different crew from what you've experienced?

Which cabin were you in?

So far I've had timely meal service and plenty of time for sleep, but it's quite common to see fluctuations I'd guess...

Now imagine if that had been crewed by US Airways East Coast FAs! :p

Think it just sounds like it may have been due to a combination of reasons - even NZ has it off days (as we all do). Don't give up on them after 1 bad experience.

Why would anyone even fly that low rent US Ai rways in C on an international flight is beyond me. The airline is cheap and nasty!
