Hi all,
Just wanted to pick your brains. I am really worried about the possible BA strike that might happen next week, as I need to be in BUD on the 18th.
I rang AMEX and they said that in case of strikes, all I am covered for is £150 travel inconvenience benefit. Or they can refund all my losses, which is the cost of the non-ref ticket of £120. Well, that does not help me at all, as if I were to book on a different carrier, prices are around £600. AMEX won't cover costs to re-book me on a different airline. They say BA will re-book me, but my problem is that they may do that but possibly a week later. The days before easter, all classes are fully booked and as I am on a cheapo ticket, I will be low priority.
Is AMEX right? All I can claim for is £150?
What are your experiences?
Thanks
