This has not been flagged by QF anywhere and I'm not sure MOW is high on their list of priorities eoinnz Mar 10, 08, 5:07 am Qantas is not flying to Russia from June. Somebody has got their wires crossed. moa999 Mar 10, 08, 5:25 am How long does the 747 sit at LHR for waiting for the Kangaroo route turnaround? I always thought QF should wetlease their planes to a US/UK operator and get them flown JFK-LHR during the down time. Keep the birds in the air and keep earning some cash. og Mar 10, 08, 6:14 am Codeshare on BA or SU metal? Letting someone else use your planes means someone else controls your brand which is something I am sure QF would be keen to protect. Also how many carriers want to fly a plane branded with someone else's product? bensyd Mar 10, 08, 8:42 am Letting someone else use your planes means someone else controls your brand which is something I am sure QF would be keen to protect. Also how many carriers want to fly a plane branded with someone else's product? iirc QF planes are occasionally used during the summer months for charter flights ex LON to the Canary Islands etc.... I don't think QF would loose control of their brand by wet leasing. The flights would still be crewed by QF just sold under a different name, no different to codeshares really. A daily service however is a little different to the odd canary run though! ;) willyroo Mar 10, 08, 3:40 pm http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=319751 bensyd Mar 10, 08, 3:42 pm A daily service however is a little different to the odd canary run though! ;) True that, but a codeshare isn't ;) DownUnderFlyer Mar 10, 08, 4:09 pm Maybe QF just wants to codeshare with JL NRT-DME or with BA? |
