Qantas Frequent Flyer - New 744 Seating Plans
QF now have details of the new 2 class 744 on their website. Suprisingly there is now a fourth layout as well comprising 14 F, 55 J and 332 Y. Anybody know why this was introduced and what routes it will be applied?
Thanks
The fourth layout is the dreaded VH-NLH. It corresponds exactly to one of BA's layout prior to flat-beds C. Does this mean that VH-NLH is still going to be around for an extended time?

Could someone have screwed up (what - QF? Never!!!) and posted a tad too soon the new 3 class with J-beds ??
Well the 4th config is no longer up there. Al, is the new flat-bed config really going to drop of only 55 J seats/beds?

Does anyone know what sort of divider separates J and Y in the new configuration (ie between rows 24 and 25)? Is it a solid divider all the way down to the floor, or just a curtain?

I have no idea - I just thought it very odd, to say the least, that after (what is it now - 2 years??) so long with NLH they put up it's plan 3 weeks before it goes home for good.
Got me thinking though - how *are* they going to config for the J-bed?

Meant to be a new centre divider, that incorporates coat and crew baggage storage as well as bulkier items such as newspapers etc.

I'm counting on that. I have the Y bulkhead booked for QF25 and am banking on putting my briefcase on the floor and using it as a footrest with feet against a solif bulkhead.

Will probably be the same sort of divider that operates on Pacific 744's in Zone 3.
