Hertz - Can you return a one-way rental to an HLE

Anyone ever get any pushback when dropping off a one-way rental to an HLE?

I've done many one-ways where I've returned the car to a HLE. Don't see what the problem is? :confused:

A co-worker returned a round-trip rental at PVD to the HLE that is close to our office in PVD. He had to pay a small surcharge (like $50 maybe?), but was allowed to do it.

Anyone ever get any pushback when dropping off a one-way rental to an HLE?

If you book it as a one way with drop off at the HLE then there is no problem. If instead you book it as a pickup and return at the same location to get a cheaper price and then drop it off at a different location, then yes you will have a problem/surcharge.

Definitely done this before. Should be no problem if specified when reserving the car. Unless you're wedded to Hertz, check around the various rental agencies to get the best deal. Depending on the phase of the moon (and the need for cars), some may be far better deals than others.
