Incidentally, I was in a car accident with my own car so I was checking Hertz's website for a rental car. I don't know how Hertz knew, but there was a link on Hertz.com, "Is your car in the shop..."

What are the odds? I've never seen it!

I clicked it. It came with two questions... mechanical/service or body shop.

Body shop resulted in a charge of $30.99 a day.
Mechanical/service resulted in a charge of $38.99 a day.

I used my own CDP and got a charge of $123 a week or $17.57 a day.

Crazy.

I used Hertz for an insurance rental.

Sure, on a weekly rate, the cost is more, but for insurance rentals, its important to have fixed rates (that don't fluctuate with demand/holidays) and the number of days as flexible as possible.

And compaired to the other major insurance rental company, Hertz is hands down, a million times better.
