Details of the long weekend odyssey to PER now in the Trip Reports forum. I could post the URL, but I can't be bothered. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Well, Dave, since you are still recovering from the dreaded red-eye, I'll show you just how much of a good sport I am and post the link for you http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif.

MEL QC must have been good - couldn't even recall the runway! I assume JB was not driving.

Awww shucks.

Dunno if JB was driving or not - I never listen to the announcements from the flight deck when they are the routine sort.

Makes me think there should be two PA settings, one which overrides the IFE and one which doesn't. Use the override setting for emergencies, and the non-override for "hope you are having a pleasant flight" announcements. Means those of us who routinely ignore them would know when to listen.

I used to listen for the captain's name on 767 and 744 back in the days when flight deck visits were available. Had some great visits with both the you-know-who's from AA. But sadly that is now a thing of the past and so not a lot of point knowing who is sitting up front any more http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif.
