Hilton HHonors - Best GLON2 or GLONP2 hotel for six people
Looking for recommendations for a Hilton property hotel with rooms that have enough space to accomodate 2 adults and 4 kids. Hoping to stay at a vacation resort type location by using the GLON2 or GLONP2 award. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I think an Embassy or Homewood Suites in the US would be the only thing that would be reasonable on a GLON, but that would be a tough squeeze. You can count Europe out for the most part. Would you consider adjoining rooms at double the points? That would make the selection a lot bigger.
Another option, though not covered under a GLON would be a HVC award for a two or three bedroom unit.

I think that you should start thinking about reserving two rooms, or finding a resort that will allow upgrading to a suite.
If you only have enought points for one room, think in terms of an Embassy Suites property or some other brand with "Suites" in the name.
If you are seeking specific recommendations, you may wish to give us some indication of your preferences - otherwise you may get recommendations in locations where you have no interest in visiting.
I looked at the HGVC awards and noticed they only had studio awards available. Thanks for the advice
Can't afford to pay for any extra rooms so it "Suites" is probably the way to go. Thanks.

Yeah, I think a domestic US Emabassy Suites is your best bet. And you're probably going to need to be somewhat "stealthy" about getting all six of you in a room.
Anything int'l will most likely require you to get at least two rooms. And they'll enforce it.
I've got two kids, and we've done several international stays in Asia and Europe, but always with two rooms.

I'll second ES or HS being the best options. To swing 2 adults and 4 kids you'll probably need a 2-bed room along with a pull-out couch. Adding a roll-away might make sleeping slightly more comfortable but might also blow your cover.
delphi, when you say "vacation resort" do you mean oceanfront? I agree with other posters that the ES and/or HS concept would be best for you, but there are no oceanfront HS.
Here is a good choice for a family-friendly oceafront ES though:

I have stayed their twice. Do a search in this forum under the word "Dorado" for multiple reviews.

Both Phoenix Pointe Hilton properties - Squaw Peak and Tapatio - are all suite properties and SP also has larger casitas. My sister just did SP with 4 kids and 2 adults. The 14 year old and 6 year old girls slept in the second queen in the bedroom and the 16 year old and 11 year old boy slept in the front room on the pull out couch. No one complained. The casitas have even more room. Be aware there will be tons of kids everywhere, however.
