Life_Platinum Mar 1, 08, 5:15 am None of the three Westins offer breakfast in a lounge. I do not know about the recently opened St. Regis, and I have forgotten if the 4 Points did. Cheap Elite Mar 1, 08, 8:39 am I just love it when people start a new thread when they could have easily done a search. This could have easily been added to the Washington DC Properties MASTER THREAD discussion thread, so that it could help someone else down the line. Take a look at the Westin Embassy Row Master thread. While under renovation, they are offering complimentary breakfast (http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh98/CheapElite/Westin%20Embassy%20Row/DSC00891.jpg) for all guest. Other than the temporary situation at the Westin Embassy Row, No DC property offers breakfast as an "in hotel" perk. In DC, no However, don't forget the other Westins that are just a short metro ride away Westin Arlington Gateway and Westin Alexandria both have club lounges that serve breakfast @:-) I'd take either of these two properties over the other 3 in DC anyday. I respectfully disagree. I, and we have already discussed this issue with the mods via PMs, that certain topics deserve their own threads. I do not like the idea of merging everything into a 500 page masterthread and having to read all 2000 posts to dig out a particular information about that city or property. It is much easier to have certain information in the thread title so it can be more easily searched. (Mods, sorry I don't know if it's okay to discuss this issue in public. If not, please feel free to delete) NJUPINTHEAIR Mar 1, 08, 10:58 am Not getting into the middle of this argument, but I would add, however, that CE is correct in that all guests get a free buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant during the Embassy Row's ongoing -- and continuing -- renovations for the forseeable future. That said, the lounge at the Westin Alexandria is very good, and it even has great chocolate bars in the afternoon for your kids, not to mention usually great appetizers in the evening. I too agree that not everything needs to be merged, but this question, does relate to "all DC properties" so why have fragmented threads? Especially when no property in Washington, DC offers what the OP is looking for? pushback Mar 1, 08, 4:21 pm Not getting into the middle of this argument, but I would add, however, that CE is correct in that all guests get a free buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant during the Embassy Row's ongoing -- and continuing -- renovations for the forseeable future. This is great information folks--thanks! Any other things you can think of that might be of interest to 10 & 14 year-old girls at the properties themselves is of definite interest! They will probably provide you with a basis, to ask any unanswered questions you might have. I also suggest reading the Travel with Children and the Travel&Dining > Travel&Dining: Destination >> United States > Mid-Atlantic Washington D.C. (including Baltimore) threads. skye1 Mar 2, 08, 10:04 pm The Four Points downtown does. It has a club lounge that has a continental breakfast buffet. The lounge was part of some construction work going on there a couple of months ago, and they were offering breakfast coupons at the hotel restaurant. paullevi Mar 2, 08, 10:14 pm Pushback, have you read any of the existing threads? Rather than posting this over and over, why dont you create a "Cheap Elite post police [MASTER THREAD]" and you can post over there when you are overcome with the urge to jump on someone with an otherwise legitimate question that remotely relates to a subject discussed prior. That was a legitimate answer - not an attack - as well as providing two additional places to look for information. |
